Connecting an RTK rover

The same four steps apply to Leica, Trimble, Topcon, CHCNAV, Emlid and any other NTRIP-compatible GNSS receiver.

  1. 1

    Get your Madix RTK credentials

Request access and we provision a mountpoint, username and password tied to your account.

  2. 2

    Bring the rover online

Connect the receiver or controller to a 4G/LTE or Wi-Fi internet connection in the field.

  3. 3

    Create an NTRIP client profile

In the survey software, add an NTRIP client using the host, port and credentials below, then load the source table.

  4. 4

Select the mountpoint and verify the fix

Choose your assigned mountpoint, start corrections and confirm the receiver reports a fixed RTK solution before measuring.

If the receiver stays float or autonomous, check sky visibility, the internet connection and that the correct mountpoint and coordinate system are selected.

Frequently asked questions

What accuracy can I expect?

Typically 2–5 cm horizontal under fixed-RTK conditions with good sky visibility and a stable internet connection.

What internet speed is needed?

A reliable 4G/LTE connection is sufficient. NTRIP correction streams use very low bandwidth (typically <10 KB/s).

Which devices are supported?

Any NTRIP-compatible GNSS rover from Leica, Trimble, Topcon, CHCNAV, Emlid and other major brands.

How do I get credentials?

Request access via the contact form. We'll provision a mountpoint, username and password tied to your subscription.

Do you support multi-band corrections?

Yes — corrections are delivered for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou across multiple frequencies.
